PROJECT DETAILS

Private landowners approached Penn Trails to design a UTV trail connection from an existing forest road network to a riverbank. While the property had an extensive  forest road system already in place due to past logging, the waterfront connection had never been made before due to steep slopes. Penn Trails identified a feasible connection in 2022 and completed the trail in 2023 after first having to build a sizeable material staging area at the trailhead. 180 tons of boulders and crushed stone were imported to build loose boulder cribwall to retain this 2,400-foot UTV trail.
