PROJECT DETAILS

Penn Trails worked with private landowners in Spring 2023 to develop a backcountry hiking system to give them access to their entire property.  The result was nearly 2.5 miles of trails, traversing steeps slopes, seasonally wet gullies, and forested ridges. Sever erosion present around the site emphasized the importance of identifying sustainable trail alignments with gentle grades that could be enjoyed by the whole family at every stage of life and ability.
