PROJECT DETAILS

Private landowners approached Penn Trails to design a private hiking trail system for recreational use and to improve forest management access to sloped portions of the property. Penn Trails identified a feasible connection for one of these trails in 2022 and completed the trail in 2023. The build included approximately 60-feet of black locust puncheon and bridging structures to traverse a seasonally wet area as well as two sections of stone steps built from locally-sourced stone.

Additional trails are proposed on this property and currently in development.
